Refund & Return Policy

How refunds work for our genuine digital QuickBooks licenses, including our pay-after-activation model.

Because we sell digital software licenses and activate them before you pay, our refund terms differ from physical goods. This policy explains when you are eligible for a refund, what is non-refundable, and exactly how to request one.

Overview

Welcad (Welcad) sells genuine QuickBooks Desktop licenses delivered digitally. We operate a pay-after-activation model: you receive your license, install and activate the software, and our team confirms everything is working before any payment is collected.

This means most refund situations are resolved before you ever pay. This policy still sets out your rights in the rare cases where a refund applies.

Digital Products & Activation

All products are non-physical digital licenses. Nothing is shipped. Once a license key has been successfully activated and bound to your installation, it is considered "used" and consumed.

Because activation permanently associates a license key with your software, an activated key generally cannot be resold or returned to stock — which is why we let you test before you pay.

When You Are Eligible for a Refund

You may be eligible for a refund if:

  • You paid for a license that failed to activate and our team was unable to resolve the issue.
  • You were charged in error or charged more than the agreed price.
  • You received a duplicate charge for the same order.
  • The software was found to be non-genuine or materially not as described (this should never happen — all our licenses are genuine).

Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds are not available where:

  • The license has been successfully activated and is working as described.
  • You changed your mind after activation, or no longer need the software.
  • Issues are caused by incompatible hardware, operating system, or third-party software outside the QuickBooks application.
  • You are unable to provide proof of purchase or order details.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact us within 30 days of your payment date with the following:

  1. Your order number or the email used at checkout.
  2. The product/edition purchased.
  3. A short description of the issue, with any error messages or screenshots if relevant.

Processing Time

Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method. Please allow 5-7 business days for the refund to appear, depending on your bank or card provider.

Chargebacks

If you experience a problem, please contact us first — we resolve the large majority of issues quickly. Filing a chargeback without contacting us may result in suspension of the associated license, as we control license activation.
